Your new companyHays are working with a well-known business in Bath to recruit a Management Accountant / Finance Business Partner for a minimum period of 12 months.Your new roleThis plays a vital role in supporting the business while the organisation goes through systems implementation and, whilst it is not directly managing the implementation itself, it requires someone that can be flexible during a period of change. The role will include:

  • Responsible for ensuring accurate reporting in the monthly management accounts and in the annual reports.
  • Own the monthly reporting, providing explanations of variances and trends were relevant.
  • Preparation of monthly reports and attendance at meetings where those reports are presented to key stakeholders.
  • Prepare an analysis of the balance sheet, identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Work with wider teams and partner with key stakeholders where required on all finance matters.
  • Raising and issuing invoices ensuring the correct application of VAT.
  • Prepare budgets and distribute them across the business where required.
  • Support in the ongoing systems transformation as required.

What you'll need to succeedWe are looking for a qualified accountant that has experience of management accounting and in the preparation of management accounts. Ideally, you will have experience of budgeting and forecasting, partnering with non-finance teams and if you have experience of implementing systems improvements, that would be beneficial. In addition, you should be a team player, able to develop relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.What you'll get in returnThe client is offering a contract for a minimum of 12 months on a hybrid basis, requiring you to be in the office 2 days per week.
