The Client and Project Info:
My client is a respected M&E Contractor who are currently recruiting a Duct Fitter’s Mate for a commercial project based in Bath. This role will involve assisting with the installation of ventilation and ductwork systems throughout the development.
Duct Fitter’s Mate Responsibilities:

Assisting the Duct Fitter with all installation works.

Supporting with moving, measuring, and preparing ductwork materials.

Helping install rectangular and spiral ducting under supervision.

Ensuring work areas are kept clean, tidy, and safe.

Following instructions from the site supervisor and senior fitters.

Using hand and power tools safely and correctly.

Assisting with sealing, fixing, and hanging ductwork.

Maintaining safe working practices at all times on site.

Working alongside other trades and supporting the wider site team.
Duct Fitter’s Mate Requirements:

CSCS card.
-
Previous experience as a Duct Mate or in a similar mechanical/site labour role.

Understanding of basic hand tools and site safety.
-
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
-
Experience on commercial projects is desirable but not essential.
