REED Business Support in Bath is honoured to be working in partnership with a highly successful business with offices in Bath in their search for a PART-TIME HR Assistant.
- Location: Hybrid
- Part-time (20-25 hours per week, flexible schedule)
- 9 months (could be extended)
- Start Date: Early to mid-June for handover
We are seeking a dedicated Human Resources Assistant to support an HR team in delivering efficient services to the business, candidates and employees while ensuring compliance with company procedures and employment legislation. This role reports directly to the HR Lead and offers a flexible working pattern.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Recruitment:
- Manage vacancies on the company website and internal advertisements.
- Co-ordinate and track candidate details in compliance with GDPR.
- Communicate with applicants, agencies, and recruiting managers, including arranging interviews and issuing rejection letters.
- New Starters:
- Liaise with Line Managers regarding new employees, induction packs, access cards, IT setup, etc.
- Set up biometrics and validate right to work documents on the first day.
- Input new starters into various databases accurately and timely.
- Maintain and update logs of required documents and training for new starters, ensuring all are up-to-date.
- General HR Support:
- Maintain the company digital noticeboard.
- Schedule and manage Occupational Health screening programmes.
- Handle the leaving process for any leavers and manage ad hoc letters, such as mortgage references.
- Maintain personnel files and support the team with the logistics of in-house training.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong administration experience, ideally within Human Resources.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to interact with all levels of staff.
- Highly organised, able to manage multiple tasks and prioritise to meet deadlines.
- Conscientious, with keen attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
- Self-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
