Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Practitioner. In this role, you will play a vital part in nurturing young children’s development, ensuring a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment that promotes learning through play. Responsibilities

  • Create a warm, welcoming atmosphere where children feel safe and valued, fostering their emotional and social development.
  • Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, physical, and creative growth, aligned with early childhood education standards.
  • Support children with daily routines such as meal times, toileting, and rest periods, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
  • Observe and assess each child's progress, maintaining detailed records to inform future planning and individual development plans.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop inclusive curricula that cater to diverse needs and learning styles.
  • Maintain high standards of health and safety by adhering to sanitation protocols, food handling procedures, and safeguarding policies.
  • Engage with parents and guardians through regular updates on their child's progress, fostering positive relationships built on trust and open communication.
  • Assist in food preparation for snacks or meals when necessary, ensuring nutritional standards are met in line with dietary guidelines.
  • Support the implementation of policies related to food safety, sanitation, and child protection to ensure a secure environment for all children.

Requirements

  • Level 3 qualification in childecare and education.
  • Demonstrated experience working with young children in early childhood settings or similar environments such as nurseries or preschools.
  • Knowledge of child development principles and early learning frameworks.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, colleagues, and external professionals.
  • Ability to manage time efficiently while juggling multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced setting.
  • Familiarity with health & safety regulations related to food handling, sanitation, and child safeguarding policies.
  • Basic math skills for record keeping, meal planning, and managing supplies or resources accurately.
  • Experience with food preparation or catering in childcare or educational environments is advantageous.
