Reed Practice are seeking a Tax Manager to work within a supportive environment where your efforts are recognised and rewarded. This role offers excellent opportunities for career development and progression. You will manage a team alongside the Senior Tax Manager and Partners, ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of technical tax services.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and service your own private client portfolio, including the delivery of self-assessment tax returns and advisory work, billing, and managing work in progress.
  • Provide high-level tax planning advice, including Inheritance Tax (IHT), Capital Gains Tax (CGT), and Trusts.
  • Oversee junior team members to ensure effective delivery of services on your portfolio.
  • Handle departmental initiatives and programmes, and continue involvement in the supervision, training, and development of the team.
  • Maintain department administration, ensuring routine tasks are completed promptly.
  • Liaise and communicate effectively with other departments, clients, and partners.
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities and support the Tax Partner.
  • Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge and participate in marketing activities by attending client functions and seminars.
  • Review complex client tax returns and ensure high standards of practice.
