EC&I Technician (DAYS)

Alecto Recruitment is looking to hear from experienced Electrical Technicians and EC&I Technicians based in the North Yorkshire area to join a leading renewable energy facility in the area.

Working on a Monday to Friday basis you will assist the engineering team in carrying out maintenance on all electrical, control and instrumentation systems onsite and adhere to safe systems of work.

Role Profile

  • EC&I Technician for a renewable energy facility in the North Yorkshire area.
  • Monday to Friday position 8am-4pm.
  • Maintaining all electrical, control & instrumentation systems across the site.
  • Carry out both planned and reactive electrical, control and instrumentation maintenance activities adhering to the plant safe systems of work.
  • Assist in delivering the Maintenance Teams KPI's.
  • Fault finding and rectifying problems on electrical, control and instrumentation equipment.
  • Be responsible for PPM and Reactive maintenance work, ensuring the highest standards are set and maintained.
  • Manage delegated plant area of the Site inclusive of planned outage work and PPMs.
  • Work safely and efficiently to the site safety rules, under a safe system of work.
  • Ensure compliance with appropriate Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental standards, policies, and procedures.

Technical Role Profile

  • Calibration of instrumentation (Level, Temperature, Pressure, Flow etc.)
  • Fault finding and rectifying problems on DCS, SCADA and PLC's.
  • Control panels and wiring standards.
  • Motors / Switchgear cubicles.
  • Variable speed drives (VSD's).
  • Circuit breakers / Electrical transformers.
  • Awareness of High Voltage equipment
  • Ability to read and work from EC&I drawings / documents.
  • Experience / knowledge of safe systems of work including permit to work, method statements and risk assessments.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment, often under pressure and working to tight timescales.

Engineer Profile

  • Recognised Electrical Engineering apprenticeship to NVQ or equivalent level 3.
  • Electrical HNC - Desirable.
  • Ideally working in the power generation, waste management or renewable energy industry.
  • Alternatively carrying out electrical maintenance in an industrial maintenance environment.
