Our client, a globally recognised leader in their field, is looking for an experienced QSHE Manager to join their team in North Yorkshire.

Responsibilities:

  • Champion a safety-first culture, ensuring adherence to safety measures across the organisation to minimise risks and prevent accidents.
  • Lead with exemplary leadership skills, showcasing organisational abilities and a commitment to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and mentor the QHSE team, setting improvement goals and supporting their professional growth.
  • Monitor and enhance processes to deliver outstanding quality and service to our customers.
  • Oversee compliance with QHSE benchmarks, establishing procedures and recommending policy changes as needed.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments, providing guidance and training on hazard identification and risk management.
  • Schedule and conduct internal audits and inspections, ensuring all findings are addressed with corrective actions.
  • Ensure prompt reporting and investigation of all accidents, incidents, and near misses, maintaining accurate records and statistics.
  • Build positive relationships with employees, suppliers, and customers, clearly communicating legal compliance, safety, and environmental matters.
  • Ensure environmental monitoring and reporting align with permit requirements while maintaining a register of relevant legislation.
  • Ensure third-party contractors adhere to safety and operational policies and legal requirements.

What we are looking for:

Essential Knowledge and Experience:

Proven experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent.
  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent or actively pursuing.
  • IEMA Certificate in Environmental Management or equivalent.
  • Internal auditor for ISO 14001.
  • Internal auditor for ISO 45001.

Professional Membership:

Membership of the Institution of Occupational Safety & Health (IOSH) or equivalent, with a goal of achieving Chartered Member status (CMIOSH).
