For this role you will have the chance to work with a high-class team on some ground breaking technological projects that are used throughout the world.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Provide mechanical design solutions as instructed by the Senior/Project Engineers.
- Input on projects, using sound technical competencies.
- Produce engineering designs, specifications and documentation.
- Assist in the preparation of operating and maintenance manuals.
- Assist sales and marketing in the preparation of quotes and proposals.
Education/Qualifications (Essential):
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related/equivalent subject (lesser qualifications coupled with suitable experience may be considered in some circumstances).
- Sound Mechanical engineering knowledge.
- 3D CAD modelling using Solidworks & PDM
- Finite Element Analysis using Ansys and/or SolidWorks Simulation.
- Structural analysis including hand calculations.
- Mechanical assembly techniques and maintenance.
- Inspection, testing and certification requirements.
- Completing and checking designs and documentation.
- Tolerancing, limits and fits.
- Mechanisms, kinematics, and power transmission.
- Good knowledge of manufacturing techniques, anodising, welding, heat treatment, painting, additive, machining, cutting, folding, and NDT requirements.
