Reed Legal are recruiting for a Senior Litigation Solicitor to join our client's team in Bedfordshire. This role involves providing a professional and innovative legal service predominantly in civil and criminal litigation, employment, and education matters.
Day-to-day of the role:- Provide legal advice and services on a wide range of public law and litigation matters, including civil actions and judicial review matters.
- Attend courts and tribunals, undertaking advocacy as required.
- Supervise junior members of the litigation team to ensure high-quality, well-researched, and comprehensive legal advice.
- Act as a legal advisor to client organisations, ensuring compliance with statutory duties and obligations.
- Represent clients in negotiations and discussions with third parties.
- Support the leadership team in building and maintaining effective working relationships with clients.
- Promote the business and identify further areas of development for existing and potential work streams.
- Comply with all practice management requirements including time recording, billing, SRA Compliance, Lexcel, and other accreditation schemes.
- Develop and provide legal input for training courses for professional clients.
- Deputise for the Principal Lawyer (Litigation) as required.
- Qualified Solicitor with experience in litigation.
- Strong advocacy skills and experience in courts and tribunals.
- Ability to supervise and mentor junior team members.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
