Maintenance Engineer - Mechanical or Electrical Bias (Rotating Shift)

Location: Bedfordshire (commutable from: Bedford, Cambridge, Stevenage, Letchworth, Hitchin, Baldock, Sandy, St Neots, Huntingdon etc.)

Key Responsibilities:

- Carry out both mechanical and electrical maintenance in line with safety, quality, and site standards.

- Undertake planned, preventative and reactive maintenance to minimise downtime.

- Fault-find, repair, and improve manufacturing equipment and facilities.

- Support continuous improvement initiatives to boost reliability and performance.

- Work closely with production teams to resolve issues quickly and effectively.

- Maintain accurate records and ensure safe systems of work are always followed.

- Support colleagues through knowledge sharing, training, and coaching.

The Ideal Candidate:

- Holds a relevant Level 3 engineering qualification (essential).

- Ideally multi-skilled, with either a mechanical or electrical bias.

- Experienced in maintenance within a manufacturing or similar environment.

- A problem solver who can remain calm under pressure.

- A collaborative team player who also works well independently.

- Flexible, safety-conscious, and proactive in identifying improvements.
