Role Summary:
Reporting to the Group Managing Director, the General Manager will be responsible for the overall leadership and performance of the business. This is a hands on leadership role that combines strategic direction with operational oversight. The successful candidate will drive business development, enhance operational efficiency, and ensure alignment with group objectives, while fostering a positive and productive culture across the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership across all business functions
- Manage daily operations and ensure delivery of projects on time and within budget
- Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, and productivity
- Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders
- Lead, mentor, and develop department managers and staff
- Oversee business planning, budgeting, and performance measurement
- Ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to company standards
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years experience in a senior operational leadership role in engineering or manufacturing
- Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline (preferred)
- Strong commercial acumen and operational management expertise
- Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills
- Proven ability to manage P and L, budgeting, and financial reporting
- Track record of driving business growth and operational improvements
Package:
- Competitive salary: 70,000 to 75,000 base
