Accounting Technician- Belfast

Reed Recruitment is delighted to be working with one of NI’s leading Accountancy Practices in the recruitment of a newly appointed Accounting Technician.

This role has come about due to company expansion and is an ideal fit for an ambitious Accounting Technician/ Part Qualified Accountant keen to pursue a career working within a highly reputable organisation.

Daily Duties:

  • Preparation of year-end accounts for Limited Companies, Sole Traders/Partnerships
  •  Involvement in ad-hoc work projects including client transactions, M&A, raising finance etc
  • Assist senior accountants with workflow on daily basis
  • Building and maintaining strong working relationships with clients

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience working within a previous accountancy practice setting
  • Ability to prepare accounts, financial statements and VAT returns individually and as part of a team
  • Work quickly and accurately under tight deadlines
  • Communicate financial information clearly and effectively
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Experience with Xero/QuickBooks or similar cloud-based accountancy software
  • Good IT knowledge including Microsoft Excel and Word
