Reed Accountancy & Finance are delighted to be working with a client in the manufacturing sector in Belfast who are recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join their team within finance.
This is a permanent opportunity, office based and will offer an excellent career path for the right person.
Reporting to the Company Accountant, the Accounts Assistant will support with sales and purchase ledger as well as cashflow and bank reconciliation.
Specific duties will involve:
- Ownership of Accounts Receivable function to include the management and maintenance of outstanding debtors
- Ownership of Supplier Accounts to include entry of purchase invoices, completion of supplier reconciliations, resolving queries
- Processing Payment Runs
- Assistance with management of cash flow and reconciliation of bank accounts
- Assisting with month end reporting / reconciliations
- Any other relevant duties as and when required
The Person:
Applicants will have excellent IT literacy and a strong working knowledge of MS Excel. Applicants will have the following skills and experience:
- A minimum of 1 years’ relevant experience in an Accountants Assistant role
- Confident and proficient in Excel
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent Telephone manner with experience of handling incoming and outgoing calls with effective negotiation
- Experience in the manufacturing industry would be preferred
