Accounts Technician / Assistant Accountant- Portadown
Reed Recruitment is delighted to be working in partnership with one of Northern Ireland’s Leading Distributors. Our client has an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Accounts Technician / Assistant Accountant to join their established accountancy team. This vacancy has arisen due to company growth.
Key responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts.
- Monthly accruals & prepayments.
- Processing of sales and purchase invoices as required.
- Supplier payments, bank reconciliations, expenses and credit card postings.
- Balance sheet reconciliations, including intercompany transactions and journal postings.
- Preparation of VAT, intrastat and EC sales
- Support in the preparation of year end statutory accounts and audit including ad hoc analysis.
- General accounting and administrative duties
Essential eligibility criteria:
- Qualified Accounts Technician / Part Qualified Accountant
- Experience of preparing management accounts
- Experience of a multi-company, multi-currency finance environment
- IT Proficient in Sage Accounts
