Senior / Lead Controls Engineer

£60,000 - £80,000 + Profit Share + Overtime + Life Cover + Income Protection

Senior / Lead Controls Engineer - The Role:

• PLC Control & Software Development:Design, develop, and implement PLC control systems and software solutions tailored tospecial-purpose automated machinery.

• Standards Compliance:Ensure all control and safety systems comply with relevant national and international regulations and standards (e.g., ISO, IEC, CE).

• Robot Programming & Commissioning:Program and commission industrial robots, includingKUKA, Fanuc, andABB,to meet specific automation requirements.

• Testing & Validation:Conduct comprehensive testing both in-house and on-site at customer facilities to ensure optimal system functionality and performance.

• Project Delivery:Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver automation projects on time and within budget, ensuring high standards of quality and reliability.

Senior / Lead Controls Engineer - The Person:

• Over 5 years of experience in industrial automation and control systems, with a strong background in deliveringcomplex machine control projectson time and within budget.

• Proficient in PLC programming, with hands-on experience inRockwell / Allen-Bradleysystems; open to leveraging skills with other PLC platforms, with training available if required.

• Proven track record in automation and production machinery design, with a practical, hands-on engineering approach from concept through commissioning.

• Knowledgeable in working with advanced technologies includingvision systems, HMIs, motion controlandrobotics,contributing to improved machine performance and functionality.

• Strong customer-facing skills with a commercial mindset; adept at interpreting client requirements and delivering tailored solutions.

• Flexible and available for national and international travel (12 weeks at a time, several times per year) for on-site commissioning and client support.

Located in Co. Antrim, relocation assistance can be provided and the role is also open to

experienced individuals based in the UK who require sponsorship.
