Product Quality Controller

Our client is one of the world's largest manufacturers of aerostructures for commercial airplanes, defence platforms, and business/regional jets.

Spirit recently acquired Northern Ireland's premier aerospace company and is ramping up its award-winning, composite wing production for an industry-leading, commercial aircraft programme.


Immediate requirements exist for suitably qualified and experienced applicants to create support for short term assignments. Working hours are Monday to Thursday 07:00am-15:30pm and Friday 07:00am-11:00pm.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Carrying out Inspection, Quality Control and Quality Assurance Functions

Ensuring product compliance with design specification, customer and approving authority

requirements and regulations

Providing instruction and advice to operators as and when required

Monitoring the Delegated Operator Scheme

Working flexibly in groups

Writing technical reports to highlight drawing, process and tooling anomalies to instigate

investigation and corrective action

RESPONSIBLE TO: Product Assurance Manager

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must have completed a recognised apprenticeship and have a minimum of 2 years' relevant post apprenticeship experience in a manufacturing/assembly or tooling environment

An ONC or equivalent qualification is desirable. However applicants with lesser

qualifications and additional relevant knowledge and experience will be considered

The ability to interpret drawings and specifications, and to communicate effectively is

Essential

Candidates must be able to demonstrate a knowledge of Company manufacturing and assembly practices, requirements and standards

Candidates must be familiar with quality control requirements
