Job Summary:We are looking for a friendly and organised Medical Receptionist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing front desk operations, welcoming patients, scheduling appointments, and ensuring smooth communication between patients and our medical team.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Warmly greet and assist patients upon arrival at our facility
- Professionally handle phone calls and respond to enquiries
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments promptly and accurately
- Monitor and manage waiting times, keeping patients informed and comfortable while they wait
- Collaborate closely with medical staff to optimise patient flow and service delivery
- Process patient payments accurately and address billing enquiries
- Maintain meticulous patient records in E-Clinic and update information as required
- Perform administrative duties including filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Maintain a clean, organised, and inviting reception area
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to GDPR at all times
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Assist with inventory checks and ordering of supplies
- Support day to day clinic operations, assisting colleagues when needed to ensure the smooth operation of the facility
- Contribute to basic reporting tasks, such as compiling appointment stats or patient feedback
Essential Criteria:
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent)
- Proven experience as a receptionist or in a similar role, ideally within a medical environment
- Exceptional communication skills and a strong ability to connect with people
- Proficiency in office software and familiarity with medical record systems
- Outstanding organisational skills with a keen eye for detail
- Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Professional demeanour and a polished appearance
