SEN Teaching Assistant (No Experience Needed) - Term Time Only

Location: Near Berkeley, Gloucestershire
Salary: 22,102 - 24,103 (actual salary, depending on experience & qualifications)
Hours: 40 hours per week, Term Time Only

We're looking for a caring, resilient and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school supporting pupils aged 11-16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

This is a fantastic opportunity if you're new to education or looking for a meaningful career move.

What You'll Do:

  • Support pupils in and out of the classroom to help them achieve their learning goals.
  • Promote positive behaviour and independence in line with individual needs.
  • Assist teachers with lesson delivery, classroom organisation, and care routines.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with students who may present with challenging behaviour.
  • Work closely with therapists and other professionals to support each student's holistic development.
  • Be a key part of a supportive and inclusive team that celebrates small wins and individual progress.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
