Food Technology Teacher – Maternity Cover
Location: East Riding Secondary School
Start Date: As soon as possible (or January 2026)
Contract: Full-time, Maternity Leave

The school is seeking a passionate and skilled Food Technology Teacher to join their team on a maternity cover basis. The Role

We are looking for a Food Technology Teacher who is enthusiastic, adaptable, and committed to delivering high-quality teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4. This role would be well-suited to an experienced teacher or an ECT who is eager to grow in a supportive environment. You will be responsible for: planning and delivering engaging Food Technology lessons; supporting students in developing practical food preparation skills, nutritional understanding, and creativity; maintaining high standards of assessment, marking, and classroom management; working collaboratively with a friendly and supportive Technology Department; and contributing to the positive, inclusive, and aspirational culture of the school. Vision for Education will provide ongoing support throughout your placement, including access to professional development and a dedicated consultant to guide you at every stage.
