We are seeking to appoint a passionate teacher to join our successful history department. The subject is very popular at GCSE, with four classes in year 10 and five classes in 11. Numbers are also strong at A level with classes in year 12 and year 13. GCSE results are good. In 2024, 72% of students achieved a grade 4 or higher in their GCSE exam.
The successful history teacher candidate will need to demonstrate good subject knowledge and be passionate about the importance of history in the curriculum. They will be expected to be able to teach history to students across a range of key stages
Our Greenwich School is a large, mixed, multi-ethnic 11-18 school. We were judged as "Outstanding" in all categories by Ofsted in 2005, 2008, 2013 and 2024. We are the lead school for the London Teaching Alliance and Teach Southeast London, and we are a teacher training partner with the University of Greenwich.
