Assistant Operations Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for a full time Assistant Operations Manager, 42 hours per week, on a 5 days out of 7 days contract.
Morleys Stores Group is an independent group of 7 department stores based in and around London. Each of our stores comes with its own unique heritage and location within the local communities, and we continue to be the go-to location for premium fashion and houseware on our high streets. We are proud to continue the tradition of excellent customer service delivered through our fantastic teams.
The Assistant Operations Manager Role:
- You will be responsible for all Health and Safety/Facilities & Loss Prevention within the store ensuring compliance across the store.
- You will need to provide an effective loss prevention service to both customers and staff within the store, including investigations, in store systems and accident reporting.
- You must be a good communicator, being able to develop relationships at all levels.
- You will be the main contact within the store for all the external operational contractors.
The ideal Assistant Operations Manager candidate will be:
- Able to demonstrate previous experience of working in a fast-paced role within a similar environment.
- Have strong leadership skills.
- Flexible in this varied role.
- Be able to pay attention to detail.
- You must have the ability to remain calm and professional in all emergency situations and have the ability to be reactive to operational emergencies.
- Have the confidence to promote Loss Prevention/Health and Safety across the store, be able to train the store team to increase loss prevention awareness.
- Have excellent organisational skills
