Robert Half are pleased to be partnering with a growing SME based in Bicester to recruit a Financial Controller. The Financial Controller will receive a salary up to £60,000 along with other attractive benefits.
This role would best suit an individual who enjoys working in a small team and doesn't mind rolling their sleeves and getting stuck into all aspects of the finance function.
Primary responsibilities;
- Overview of banking, outsourced payroll, AP and AR
- Accounts preparation, reporting and compliance.
- Improving financial controls, processes, driving automation and systems to enable effectiveness and efficiency
- Managing the small and experienced Finance team
- Preparation of the monthly management pack in a timely manner and reviewing and reporting of key variances.
- Preparation of budgets and management information as requested.
- Liaising with auditors and other professional advisors
Key experience and attributes;
- Qualified Accountant ideally. Open to Qualified by experience
- Strong technical accountant
- Hungry to take on tasks themselves with excellent organisational skills.
- Smart to be able to work in a fast-paced business and has the skills required to meet deadlines and manage a high level and variety of tasks.
- Humble with people skills that create good relationships to get buy in and drive improvements across the business.
- Good attention to detail, likely to be an expert in Excel.
