People and Culture Officer (22.5 hours per week)

We are excited to represent a growing, innovative and worthwhile Oxfordshire based organisation, who are seeking a dedicated and experienced People and Culture Officer to join their dynamic team. This role offers a diverse portfolio of responsibilities, ideal for someone passionate about building a strong company culture and improving workplace efficiency.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Collaborate with the COO and leadership team to contribute to and implement an overall People Strategy and People policies, focusing on EVP, people development, health, mental health, wellbeing, and DEI.
  • Handle all aspects of staff recruitment, from writing and issuing employment contracts to managing the onboarding process.
  • Lead the implementation of a new HRIS, including data migration and training colleagues.
  • Manage the HRIS, maintain staff leave records, and ensure compliance with national laws and regulations.
  • Provide HR and organisational inductions for new staff.
  • Keep employment policies relevant and up-to-date, introducing new policies as necessary.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for all HR-related inquiries, offering timely, solutions-focused support to internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Manage the organisation’s appraisal process and cycle, handle disciplinary processes and formal grievances.
  • Provide regular reports on HR activities and strategic initiatives to the Senior Leadership Team.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in a HR Officer role within a high-growth organisation.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
  • Excellent data and analysis skills, with strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and capable of learning new systems quickly.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent and/or CIPD Level 5 or above.
