The Job Summary:

Wrightbus is the fastest growing production company in Europe. We are looking for a strong communicator and problem solver who can meet tight deadlines and work together as a team.

We are seeking a Logistics Team Leader, responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the logistics team including; the receipting of materials to meet production deadlines, the day-to-day leadership of the Goods In/Out personnel, and ensuring the timely and accurate booking and put-away of material being delivered.


The Role:

Responsible for day-to-day processes of Goods In and leadership of the Goods In personnel.

Responsible for resolving any invoice queries in a timely manner.

Responsible for ensuring goods inward quantity and liaise with quality Department for QA checks.

Responsible, in conjunction with the Warehouse Manager, for liaison with the Production Management, to ensure effective stores service.

Responsible for developing individuals to meet business objectives.

Responsible for ensuring all material being received is checked, receipted, and put away using best practice.

Ensure FIFO method of storage is being applied.

Ensure shortage material is identified and processed to avoid and minimise disruption to the production line.

Monitor and assist with Goods Out dispatch management checking activity levels, prioritising order dispatches.

Attend management meetings when required.

Report to the Warehouse manager on any issues.

Check every day that all parts that are not booked have a valid reason.

Manage personnel regarding stocktakes.

Manage compliance with all company procedures.

Any other duties requested by warehouse management.


The Requirements

GCSE Maths & English Grade C or above or equivalent

Experience of Materials handling & control in a fast-moving engineering environment.

Experience of Goods Inwards processes.

Experience in using Sage or similar ERP system.

Experience in using Microsoft packages in work environment.

Experience in using scanners.

Effective interpersonal skills

Determined individual.

Ability to work independentlyand as part of a team.

Ability to effectively and professionally mange confrontation.

Problem solving skills.

Can identify improvements.

Positive attitude

Ability to manage small team

Flexible and adaptable.

Able and willing to work additional hours when required.
