I am seeking an experienced Mechanical Quantity Surveyor to join our client on a major Pharmaceutical Technology Facility project in Bicester on a contract basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a cutting-edge facility within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Title: Mechanical Quantity Surveyor

Location: Bicester
Contract Length: 5 months
Start Date: 1st December
Day Rate: 400 - 450 per day
IR35: Outside



Key Responsibilities

  • Manage mechanical cost control and reporting for the project.
  • Prepare and review bills of quantities, valuations, and variations.
  • Ensure accurate forecasting and cost management throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Liaise with project teams to meet strict deadlines and maintain financial control.
  • Handle the complexities and challenges of a large-scale pharma build.


Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 5+ years as a Quantity Surveyor.
  • Sector Background: Oil & Gas, Pharma Tech, or Petrochemical experience highly transferable.
  • Technical Skills: Strong computer proficiency; comfortable with digital tools and reporting systems.
  • Personal Attributes: Adaptable, thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Other: No client-side candidates.


Working Pattern

  • Week 1: 2 days on-site, 2 days in the office.
  • Week 2 onwards: 4 days split between office and site.
  • Fridays WFH
