Project Manager – Development Testing - Oxfordshire (Hybrid Working)

6-Month Fixed-Term Contract

An exciting opportunity has opened for a highly organised and hands-on Project Manager to provide surge support for development testing activities within a fast-moving, high-impact programme. This role is based in Oxfordshire with hybrid working and plays a key part in supporting clean technology innovation and zero-emissions engineering solutions.

The RoleAs Project Manager, you will assist in the coordination and execution of development testing activities. Working closely with engineers, QA specialists, and programme leadership, you will ensure testing remains on track, issues are promptly addressed, and delivery progress is clearly reported.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date test dashboards and issue trackers to provide visibility across test activities.

  • Follow up with relevant teams to ensure prompt defect resolution and verify the effectiveness of fixes.

  • Coordinate test case execution across development and QA teams, ensuring alignment and efficiency.

  • Provide daily testing and status updates to programme leadership to support informed decision-making.

  • Act as a flexible delivery resource to help fill gaps and support execution where needed.

About You

  • Experience in test coordination, QA management, or project delivery within engineering, technology, or software environments.

  • Excellent organisational skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Confident in driving action across teams, following up on blockers, and verifying outcomes.

  • Strong communication and reporting skills, comfortable working across technical and non-technical teams.

  • A proactive, adaptable mindset – willing to roll up your sleeves to keep momentum going.
