A well-established client is actively seeking a qualified Radiographic Level 3 NDT Technician to join their manufacturing team. The successful candidate should possess in-depth knowledge and expertise in Radiographic methods and techniques, ensuring the integrity and quality of materials and products. This role plays a key part in supporting various projects across two local sites - Billingham and Middlesbrough.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee a team of multiple Radiographers and a Radiographic Supervisor across both sites (Billingham & Middlesbrough).
- Lead the evaluation of potential new projects during the quotation stage to assess feasibility and requirements.
- Maintain and/or develop, validate, and implement NDT procedures based on industry standards and project specifications.
- Oversee the timely and accurate radiography of production welds, including acceptance to internal and customer standards and acceptance criteria, as well as the completion of formal radiographic weld reports.
- Ensure the correct NDT techniques are applied consistently across all projects.
- Train and mentor Level 2 Liquid Penetrant Technicians, offering guidance on NDT techniques and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with various business units, technical teams, and quality departments to assess and resolve material integrity concerns.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and quality assurance protocols.
- Participate in audits and inspections to verify adherence to established NDT procedures.
- Stay current with advancements in NDT technologies and techniques, continually enhancing skills and expertise.
Requirements:
- PCN Level III qualification in radiography (Weldments only).
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in NDT as a Level II Radiographer, with a robust background across multiple NDT methods.
