Skilled Workshop Engineer Great Opportunity with a Leading Vehicle Manufacturer
Location: Kidderminster, Worcestershire
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Hours: 42 hours/week, Monday to Friday
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
A well-established and growing manufacturer of specialist Refuse Collection Vehicles is looking for a Skilled Workshop Engineer to join their dedicated team in Kidderminster.
About the Role:
Youll be working on the maintenance and repair of refuse vehicle bodywork and equipment, ensuring work is completed to high standardsboth in the workshop and occasionally on customer sites.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Mechanical repairs and fault diagnosis
- MIG welding and refurbishment of vehicle bodies
- Assembly/disassembly of body-mounted equipment
- Paperwork and documentation completion
- Adhering to health & safety procedures and using PPE
?? Ideal Candidate:
- Background in mechanical engineering (commercial vehicles/plant hire preferred)
- Welding experience required; knowledge of vehicle electrics/hydraulics a plus
- Full UK driving licence essential
- HGV licence/experience desirable
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
