Job Title: Print Machine Minder
Location: Thanet, Kent
Salary: Depending on Experience
Hours: Monday to Thursday 7am - 5pm & Friday 7am - 3pm
Role Summary:
You will be responsible for ensuring machines are set up correctly, monitored during production and maintained to achieve consistent quality, minimise downtime and meet production deadlines.
Key responsibilities within your new role would be to:
- Set up, operate and maintain the Heidelberg CD 102 6-colour offset press.
- Read and interpret job orders to determine production specifications.
- Perform colour matching and adjust ink levels for colour consistency.
- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of the machine.
- Ensure quality control by inspecting printed sheets throughout the run.
- Work collaboratively with pre-press and finishing teams.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of the press and surrounding area.
- Accurately document production data and downtime.
Experience and skills required for this position:
- Minimum 3 years of experience operating a Heidelberg CD 102 6-colour press.
- Strong understanding of print registration, colour theory and press calibration.
- Ability to handle tight deadlines and multitask.
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Physically fit to lift heavy materials.
- Certification or diploma in printing technology (desirable)
- Experience with aqueous coating units or inline finishing (desirable)
- Familiarity with quality systems such as BRC standard (desirable)
