Are you a talented Specification Writer with a passion for marine engineering systems? An exciting role awaits in Birkenhead with a renowned marine engineering systems specialist. Hours of employment: 08:00-16:30 Monday to Thursday, 08:00- 14:00 Friday.

Occasional weekend work and overtime will be required on occasion.

Stated salary figures are negotiable - subject to qualifications and experience.

Specification Writer (Electrical) - Key Responsibilities:

- Develop detailed specifications for marine engineering systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.

- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to translate complex technical requirements into clear, concise documentation. Candidates must be willing to visit Marine vessels either in port or whilst on voyage - meeting with ships officers or fleet engineers to clarify and assess work packages/contracts

- Conduct thorough reviews and updates of existing specifications to maintain relevance and precision.

- Participate in design reviews and provide input on electrical design aspects to enhance project outcomes.

Specification Writer (Electrical) - Essential Skills and Experience:

- Proven experience in specification writing within the marine engineering sector.

- Strong background in electrical design, with the ability to interpret and create detailed schematics and diagrams. AutoCAD Electrical software knowledge would be beneficial.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.

- Proficiency in relevant software tools and a solid understanding of industry standards and regulations.
