Overview

My client, a historic Financial Services firm based business based in Central Business District of Birmingham has undergone substantial growth, and is currently on the lookout for a studying and motivated Assistant Management Accountant to join their medium sized function and undertake the preparation of the management pack and unique financial reporting for a portfolio of their clients in the property industry. This role will give the successful candidate insight into stakeholder management and bespoke reporting practices.

The successful candidate will be able to combine their experience and studies together in this position and be challenged from day one. You will be starting with the analysis of the ledgers to understand all accrued, prepaid and deferred income and bank reconciliations before ensuring balance sheets are fully reconciled, and pulling together a variance report between budgets and forecasts, finally liaising with internal stakeholders to report your findings. You will be a fundamental part of ensuring the financial health of your clients.

Skills required

  • You will previously have had experience posting accruals and prepayments, and preferably reconciling the balance sheet.
  • You must currently be studying for your ACCA/CIMA qualification, actively trying to become qualified within this business.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Have an interest in the sector and look for longevity in your next role, as you will be able to build a future with the business.
