Accounts Senior Birmingham £30,000 - £35,000Butler Rose Practice is delighted to be supporting a newly established and ambitious accountancy firm based in Birmingham. The firm is built on a strong growth mindset, committed to helping both clients and employees reach their full potential. This is a fantastic opportunity to be mentored directly by the firm's director, allowing for significant personal and professional development. In addition to your core responsibilities, you will also have the chance to gain exposure to business development and broader advisory work. Role Requirements -

  • Preparation of accounts for limited companies in accordance with FRS 102, FRS 102 1A, and FRS 105, as well as for sole traders and partnerships.
  • Preparation of group consolidated accounts (desirable but not essential).
  • Preparation of corporation tax returns and personal tax returns.
  • Submission of quarterly and monthly VAT returns.
  • Bookkeeping using client software (Xero preferred, but experience with various platforms is beneficial).
  • Preparation of management accounts.
  • Processing of monthly and weekly payroll (desirable but not essential).
  • Managing a portfolio of clients, including direct communication and advisory responsibilities.

Personal Requirements -

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in practice.
  • Fully qualified, nearly qualified, or qualified by experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with clients and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 and familiar with a range of accounting software, including QuickBooks, Xero, Sage 50, and Sage Cloud.
  • Experience with CCH for accounts and tax production (desirable but not essential).
  • Understanding of client on-boarding procedures, including AML and KYC compliance.
  • Willingness to contribute to other areas of the business such as networking, marketing, or social media initiatives.
