Site Manager - Roofing and Rainscreen Cladding

Position: Site Manager – Roofing & Rainscreen Cladding

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the delivery of roofing and rainscreen cladding projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all on-site activities, ensuring health & safety compliance, maintaining quality standards, and delivering projects on time and within budget. This role requires strong leadership, technical knowledge of roofing and façade systems, and excellent communication skills.

• Project Delivery

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of roofing and rainscreen cladding installation works on site.

  • Ensure project milestones are achieved in line with the construction programme.

  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and labour resources effectively.

• Health & Safety

  • Implement and monitor site-specific health and safety plans, RAMS, and toolbox talks.

  • Ensure all works are carried out in line with CDM regulations and company policies.

• Quality & Compliance

  • Monitor workmanship to ensure installations meet design specifications, manufacturer requirements, and industry standards.

  • Carry out quality inspections and resolve technical/site issues promptly.

  • Maintain accurate site records including QA documentation, progress reports, and photographic evidence.

• Team & Stakeholder Management

  • Lead and motivate site operatives and subcontractors to deliver high standards.

  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and the project team to ensure clear communication.

  • Attend site meetings and provide progress updates.

• Commercial Awareness

  • Track progress against budget and schedule.

  • Identify and report potential risks, delays, or cost implications early.

  • Assist with procurement and materials management to reduce waste and downtime.

• Proven experience as a Site Manager in roofing and/or rainscreen cladding projects.

• Strong technical knowledge of roofing systems (e.g., flat, pitched, single ply, liquid) and rainscreen cladding systems (e.g., ACM, aluminium, terracotta, stone, high-pressure laminate).

• Valid SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification.

• CSCS card (Black or Gold).

• First Aid at Work qualification (preferred).

• Excellent leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively.

• Computer literate with experience using project reporting tools.
