Overview:We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Credit Controller to join our finance team on a 6-month contract basis. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced environment, ensuring effective credit management and cash flow optimisation. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining strong customer relationships while ensuring timely payments and resolving queries.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and monitor the company's debtor ledger
- Chase outstanding payments via phone, email, and written correspondence
- Resolve customer queries and disputes efficiently and professionally
- Assess creditworthiness of new and existing customers
- Maintain accurate records of all credit control activity
- Prepare and distribute aged debt reports to management
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth invoicing and payment processes
- Support month-end reporting and audit requirements
- Proven experience in credit control or accounts receivable
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Sage, SAP, or similar)
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Immediate availability preferred
