That means running 1:1 and small group sessions in reading, writing and maths, helping pupils close learning gaps and build confidence. You’ll work alongside experienced teachers and get clear guidance and feedback throughout the year.The CandidateYou’ve got a 2:1 or above from a top university, strong core subject grades, and experience working with children—maybe through tutoring, mentoring or volunteering. You’re calm, clear, and consistent. You want to help children do better and you’re serious about a future in teaching.The SchoolA popular, well-run primary in Selly Oak with three classes per year group. The leadership team is experienced and supportive, and staff turnover is low.
