Manufacturing Technician
Location: Birmingham
Shift Pattern: Monday-Friday, 07:00-15:30
Pay Rate: 12.65 per hour


This onsite role at the Protein Diagnostics Division in Birmingham involves supporting the manufacturing of world-leading diagnostic products. As a Manufacturing Technician II, you will be part of a dedicated operations team, ensuring product quality, equipment readiness, and smooth workflow execution.

Main Responsibilities

  • Complete assigned manufacturing tasks to a production plan
  • Manage materials and inventory needed for daily work
  • Operate and maintain designated equipment or work areas
  • Ensure work is completed right first time
  • Follow procedures, safety rules, and instructions
  • Support continuous improvement activities
  • Carry out other reasonable duties as required

Requirements

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) or a relevant degree
  • At least 1 year experience in manufacturing, production, lab, or similar environment
  • Basic IT skills (Microsoft Office / Excel)
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and prioritise tasks

Desirable

  • Experience working in a cGMP or regulated environment
