A UK-based bank is seeking a Credit Risk Analyst to strengthen its second-line oversight of retail lending activity. This is a broad technical role focused on credit portfolio analysis, policy review, and risk appetite monitoring, with regular engagement across risk, finance, and lending teams.
What you’ll be doing:

Analyse credit performance and portfolio trends, identifying emerging risks and providing regular MI to senior stakeholders

Develop and enhance internal tools to support the monitoring of credit quality, arrears, and default behaviours

Support the refinement of lending policies and criteria, offering second-line challenge to the first line and contributing to governance forums

Review and advise on credit risk appetite metrics, thresholds, and early warning indicators

Conduct thematic reviews and deep dives across lending segments to assess performance and risk alignment

Produce clear and actionable reporting for internal committees and risk leadership
