OverviewMitchell Adam is delighted to be recruiting for an Assistant Finance Manager on behalf of a fast-growing, future-focused, multi-site business based in Birmingham. This is an exciting opportunity for a part-qualified or studying accountant to gain hands-on, high-impact experience within a business that values analytical insight and professional growth.

Working closely with a dedicated Finance Manager, you'll take a lead role in preparing accounts and analysing financial data for a portfolio of sites. You'll contribute to strategic decision-making through detailed analysis, reporting, and forecasting, gaining invaluable exposure across a dynamic finance function. This role offers a clear route to a Finance Manager position as you develop. You will be involved in preparing rolling cash flow forecasts and supporting budget and forecasting cycles, taking ownership of month-end duties, including variance analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, and revenue reporting and crucially, communicating findings to senior management and key stakeholders across the business.

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Be actively studying towards an accounting qualification (ACCA/CIMA/AAT) and motivated to progress.

  • A strong communicator, confident working across departments and with external partners.

  • Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, large datasets) and a keen eye for detail.

  • Previous experience in a similar role or within a multi-site based business is advantageous but not essential.
