Henderson Scott finance and accounting have partnered with an organisation in Birmingham to recruit a qualified Finance Business Partner. Reporting to the FD, this role will play an instrumental part in growth strategies, identifying new processes and being the link between departments and stakeholders.

This role will suit a new qualified candidate who would like to progress in an established company that put their values at the core of what they do.

  • Financial Analysis & Reporting
  • Prepare, analyse, and present accurate financial reports to support business decision-making.
  • Provide insights on financial performance, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting
  • Preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to ensure financial targets are realistic and achievable.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Work closely with department heads and business units to understand their financial needs and challenges.
  • Variance Analysis
  • Investigate and explain variances between actual results and budget/forecast, providing actionable recommendations.
  • Cost Control and Efficiency
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvements.
  • Monitor financial controls and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Support finance system upgrades and improvements to enhance data accuracy and reporting efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Fully qualified accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and business finance.
  • Excellent Excel and financial modelling skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.

Salary:

  • £45,000 - £48,000 plus excellent company benefits
  • 2 days in the office
  • Flexible start and finish times
