We are exclusively partnering with a dynamic and growing organisation to recruit a Head of Financial Planning and Analysis based in Birmingham.

This is a key leadership role responsible for driving the financial planning process, building sophisticated financial models, leading budgeting and forecasting cycles, and providing strategic support to the executive team. You will manage and develop a high-performing FP&A team, ensuring accurate, insightful financial analysis that supports critical business decisions and long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities

Key responsibiliies for this Head of Financial Planning and Analysis role are:

  • Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes across the business.

  • Build, maintain, and improve complex financial models to drive insight and decision-making.

  • Business partner with senior leadership, providing financial advice to support strategic initiatives.

  • Deliver accurate, timely, and meaningful management reporting, analysis, and commentary.

  • Manage, coach, and develop a team of FP&A professionals.

  • Drive continuous improvements in financial systems, processes, and reporting.

  • Support M&A activity, investment cases, and other ad hoc strategic projects.

Key Requirements

To succeed in this Head of Financial Planning and Analysis you will need the following:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).

  • Proven experience in senior FP&A roles, ideally within a fast-paced, complex environment.

  • Strong technical skills in financial modelling and analysis.

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to see the bigger picture.

  • Excellent leadership skills, with a proven track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.

  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence at board level.

  • Degree in accountancy, economics or business.
