Role responsibilities
- Managing and advising a personal tax portfolio including high-net-worth individuals, company directors, landlords and trusts
- Delivering bespoke tax planning services covering inheritance tax, capital gains, trusts, and residence/domicile matters
- Overseeing the preparation and review of self-assessment tax returns and ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations
- Acting as a key adviser to clients and building long-term, trusted relationships
- Supporting and mentoring junior tax staff and reviewing their technical work
- Leading on private client business development opportunities and strategic projects
- Staying ahead of legislation and industry trends, contributing to technical knowledge across the firm

Candidate requirements
- CTA qualified or ACA/ACCA qualified with substantial experience in personal tax
- Proven ability to manage a complex client portfolio and provide strategic tax advice
- Deep technical knowledge of UK personal tax legislation, including IHT, CGT and trust matters
- Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring junior team members
- Commercial acumen and the ability to support practice development and growth
- A client-centric, proactive approach with excellent communication skills
