The position of Estimator offers a salary range of £50,000 to £60,000, along with a car allowance and project bonuses.
This role is within a commercial design and build office fitout contractor based in Birmingham, West Midlands.
The successful candidate will work closely with a Regional Director known for strong relationships in the commercial fit-out sector.
Candidates should ideally have a sound knowledge of JCT/D&B contracts and experience managing multiple interior fit-out contracts.
While previous construction contract experience is beneficial, it is not essential; a methodical and organized approach to financial management is crucial.

Commercial D&B Office Fitout Contractor

Birmingham, West Midlands

New region of an SME business with turnover currently at 15m

Working with a Regional Director that has a fantastic reputation in commercial fit-out with some great end-user relationships.

The Role

Ensure that all estimating processes and procedures are followed to deliver a submission following tender settlement

Work within established commercial and operations team in preparation of competitive tender offers

Undertake site visits to establish and verify asset information provided as part of the tender documentation

Undertake a full analysis of tender returns received during the tender process

Attend start-up pre-price and price meetings

Project locations across the UK

A sound knowledge and understanding of JCT/D&B contracts, and demonstrable experience of running interior fit out works contracts is preferable

Typically, the role will involve the management of multiple contracts concurrently, so the ability to manage time efficiently is critical

Previous experience of working on constructions contracts is useful, though not essential

Ability to review contracts, contract ammendments, and identify risks to the business is useful

methodical and well organised approach to financial management of the project (s)

Internal handover with sales and operation

Procurement of subcontract packages - LPM / Labour only / materials supply
