Head of Growth and Innovation Hub - Permanent - Birmingham (hybrid) - £130k


Location: Birmingham (40% onsite)

Salary: £130,290 (non-negotiable)

We are currently working with a leading public sector regulator who is seeking a dynamic and visionary leader to join their team as Head of Growth and Innovation Hub.

This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of UK regulation and support economic growth through innovative regulatory approaches.

You will lead the transformation of the existing Audit and Assurance Sandbox into a cross-cutting hub that spans corporate reporting, sustainability, technology, and more. Acting as a regulatory enabler, you'll drive strategic innovation, policy development, and market engagement, working closely with senior stakeholders across the organisation and wider regulatory ecosystem.

The successful candidate will be a creative innovator, confident and established networker, with a proven track record in policy design and advocacy.

Role: Head of Growth and Innovation Hub

Salary: £130k (non-negotiable)

Location: Birmingham (2 days per week onsite)

Benefits including: 30 days annual leave, additional holiday purchase scheme, 10% pension contribution

Head of Growth and Innovation Hub Key Skills and Experience:

  • Creative thinker, highly innovative individual with a genuine passion for driving innovation and change at a company or industry level
  • A background in Audit & Assurance financial reporting / Technical audit and accounting / Regulatory industry in finance
  • Experience in policy development, design, implementation, and advocacy (ideally within a major firm, government, consultancy)
  • Previous hands-on experience with sand box initiatives
  • A varied background, can adapt to different sectors and industries
  • An exceptionally strong networker with an already established network at senior manager level with accepted external credibility
  • A passionate, engaging speaker, capable of demonstrating persuasive influence and promoting visions
  • Solid understanding of economics and the current economic field
