Your new companyYou will be joining an established multi-utility contractor based in the Birmingham area. This multi-accredited contractor specialises in delivering infrastructure solutions across the water, gas and power sectors, and offers excellent opportunities for career progression and professional development. With an ongoing series of contracts as well as a major framework win, they are looking to onboard a Planner to join their team.

This is a full-time permanent position based out of their Birmingham office.

Your new roleAs Planner, your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and maintaining detailed programmes for multi-utility framework projects
  • Planning and sequencing activities, ensuring efficient use of resources and avoiding clashes
  • Managing delivery timelines and activities under long-term framework agreements
  • Coordinating with internal delivery teams, subcontractors and client representatives to ensure timely execution of works
  • Tracking progress against planned works, updating programmes accordingly and generating lookahead schedules for site times and clients
  • Producing reports for internal teams and clients, highlighting progress, risks and upcoming milestones.

What you'll need to succeedIn order to be successful, you must have:

  • Proven planning experience within multi-utility (gas, water and/or power) infrastructure
  • Proficiency with Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams concurrently and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Understanding of framework-based delivery, ideally with a Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractor.
