If so, Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Ad hoc Cover Supervisors/Unqualified Teachers for emergency cover in primary schools in South Birmingham.

Responsibilities:

  • Step in as a cover supervisor or unqualified teacher on a day-to-day basis to provide emergency cover for absent teachers in primary schools.
  • Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and engage students in meaningful learning activities.
  • Follow the school's policies and procedures and maintain a high standard of professionalism at all times.
  • Provide support and guidance to students, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
  • Promote a safe and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
  • Complete required administrative tasks, such as taking attendance and providing feedback to the regular teacher.

Requirements:

  • A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their learning.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to manage a classroom effectively and maintain discipline.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach to work.
  • Flexibility and availability to cover on short notice.
  • A valid enhanced, Child Only, DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) and relevant right to work documents.
  • Level 5 or above
