Deputy Manager – Mental Health, Autism & Learning Disabilities Service
Location: Birmingham
Hours: Monday – Friday, 9am–5pm
Must be a driver
Salary: £29 -30k per annum

Claire at Amber Mace is recruiting for a passionate and experienced Deputy Manager to join a small, person-centred service supporting adults with mental health conditions, autism, and learning disabilities.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Support Worker, Team Leader, or existing Deputy looking to take the next step in their career within a supportive and forward-thinking care provider.

The Role

  • Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the service.
  • Oversee a small staff team, providing leadership, mentoring, and supervision.
  • Take responsibility for rotas, audits, and quality monitoring.
  • Ensure the service operates in line with CQC standards and best practice.
  • Support with care planning, risk assessments, and safeguarding compliance.
  • Promote a culture focused on empowerment, dignity, and positive outcomes.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience supporting individuals with mental health needs, autism, and learning disabilities.
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills.
  • Confident completing rotas, audits, and staff supervisions.
  • Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification (Level 5 desirable or willing to work towards).
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-focused attitude.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
