KS3 Intervention Teacher – English & Maths

TeacherActive is working in partnership with a forward-thinking secondary school seeking to appoint a talented and passionate teacher to support the academic progress of incoming Year 7 pupils. This full-time role is a unique opportunity to work with students who require additional support in English and Maths, helping to bridge the learning gap between Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3.

The successful candidate will deliver tailored lessons to small groups of pupils who begin secondary school below the national average in English and/or Maths. This initiative has been carefully developed and successfully implemented over the years, and the school is now looking to expand capacity to meet growing demand.

About the Role:

  • Teaching English and Maths at Key Stage 3
  • Supporting low-attaining Year 7 pupils with targeted, personalised interventions
  • Working closely with the wider teaching team to accelerate student progress
  • Role responsibilities may be adapted depending on your subject specialism and teaching experience

Ideal for:

  • A primary-trained teacher interested in transitioning to secondary education
  • An educator with experience in middle school or KS2/KS3 transition work
  • Someone passionate about inclusive education and raising achievement

Requirements:
