ABC Teachers is seeking an experienced and dedicated A-Level Biology Supply Teacher for a long-term position at a reputable secondary school in Edgbaston. This exciting opportunity begins in September 2025 and is expected to continue until the end of the academic year, with the possibility of a permanent role for the right candidate.
Situated in the leafy suburb of Edgbaston, this ambitious and well-respected secondary school has a strong academic focus, particularly in the sciences. Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging and challenging A-Level Biology lessons

Plan, prepare and assess student work in line with curriculum expectations

Monitor student progress and provide feedback to support academic development

Maintain high standards of classroom management and student behaviour

Collaborate with the science department to contribute to curriculum development

Requirements
The successful Biology Teacher will have;

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK
-
Specialism in Biology with experience teaching at A-Level

Strong knowledge of the AQA or OCR A-Level Biology syllabus

Excellent communication, planning, and organisational skills

A passion for inspiring young scientists and promoting academic excellence

Ability to obtain suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK (ABC Teachers do not offer sponsorship)
*All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
