Do you love supporting young children as they take their first steps into learning? A welcoming primary school in Aston is looking for a caring and confident EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team.
This full-time role is ideal for someone with a warm approach and a genuine passion for early childhood education. You'll be based in Nursery or Reception, helping children settle into routines, develop key skills, and feel safe and supported in their learning.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Supporting the class teacher with daily routines and learning activities.
- Helping children with phonics, early literacy, and number skills.
- Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils that may have additional needs.
- Encouraging positive behaviour through praise, play, and clear boundaries.
- Adapting activities to support children with additional needs where needed.
Who We're Looking For Someone That:
- Has experience working with young children in an EYFS or nursery setting.
- Brings energy, patience, and a nurturing approach.
- Understands how to support early learning through play and interaction.
- Experience with SEN is desirable but not essential.
- Is reliable, enthusiastic, and ready to work as part of a supportive team.
