The role is working to support groups of children with phonics practice at differing levels in a lower Key Stage 2 class. The phonics programme used by the school is Read Write Inc so therefore knowledge of this would be essential.
The school has average EAL and SEND needs for the geographic area and like to provide additional support for students with additional needs.

To apply for this role, you will need to hold a minimum of a level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification and have experience with phonics interventions.

As a full time, teaching assistant, the school will expect you to essentially be a permanent member of staff, so the following is expected.
* Support children in working phonics groups
* Experience of using Read Write Inc
* Whole class support
* Support the class teacher with daily activities
* Assess achievements of pupil.
* Ensure the students can access the curriculum
